Cold therapy is often used to treat pain and swelling and there is growing evidence to show that cold therapy can also help to ease some of the side effects of cancer treatment. Using ice gloves and socks can help to prevent chemotherapy related neuropathy as well as helping to prevent some skin and nail issues, whilst scalp cooling can prevent or reduce hair loss from chemotherapy.
