Radiaderm User Reviews

Writer: Jo Riley | CancerPal FounderJo Riley | CancerPal Founder

When Mum was poorly I used to spend hours and hours searching through online forums trying to find information on products that would help to ease the treatment side effects, but it was incredibly time consuming and I often came across information that I wasn't ready to see.

If you're looking for products to help ease radiotherapy related skin issues and want to hear other people's experience of using Radiaderm Radiotherapy Skincare, then we've done the hard work for you. We've sifted through the online forums, where users share honest feedback and collated it below.

We haven't actually been able to find that much feedback on Radiaderm because it has only recently been relaunched but all of the feedback that we have found has been extremely positive.

"I would say to moisturise a lot. Your team will advise when and how. I used a product from Radiaderm which I won via Dr Liz O’Riordan on Instagram. It was a two part gel and cream, I had no redness or burning. Others have used Aveeno etc. My team said to use what works for you and not try something new just for radiotherapy as a red rash could be an allergy. Radiotherapy can be tiring so just be kind to yourself and rest when you need it."

"I also was given radiaderm which I found really good and applied that in the afternoons. I was very worried about my skin as I’m naturally really pale and have sensitive skin, but it wasn’t too bad, it became abit red and sore but not as bad as I imagined and is slightly tanned now, not red anymore."

"When I first had 30 Radiotherapy sessions back in 2021 I came across a product that sounded to be just right for treating RT burns. It had been developed by a company that specialised in burn first aid for first responders. The company had ceased trading but were kind enough to supply me with their product. It was a Godsend. I went through the treatment with hardly more that a little redness that was nothing compared to the damage that I saw in other patients going through the treatment. I was on the company's mailing list and I have now been informed of a re-launch of the product. My experience with it was fantastic so I thought I would share it with you all."

"I also used Radiaderm Cooling lotion and soothing lotion (bought on Amazon). I applied the cooling lotion straight after treatment every time and I do think it stopped my skin from breaking down right until the last 4 treatments and it is healing very quickly."

"I used Radiaderm every day immediately following radiation.  I used it again or other things before bed, but always washed it off every morning before rads.  My rad onc gave it to me and I think it was very good for my skin.  Those with more severe rads will join in with other things to help with blistering, raw oozing skin that I didn't suffer."

"I had this great medication for my radiation burns. It's called "Radiaderm Radiation Relief System." It's a 2 step system wtih lactokine. Right after your radiation treatment, before you get dressed you rub this clear cool gel on your sight. It feels great, then you rub the soothing lotion on you when you get home. Put the lotion on you 3times a day. Ask your doctor for some free samples, so you can try it first. If you start using it from the start, it keeps you from getting burned. I got enough free samples to last me the six weeks, but if I needed more, I had to get it online. Radiaderm.com. Ask your doctor about it. It's some great stuff!"

If you would like to try Radiaderm for yourself, we have a limited number of 15ml starter packs that can be found here. The full size Radiaderm skincare system can be purchased here.
