Mint is well known for easing nausea and we’ve specifically chosen lemon mints because feedback tells us they are gentler for sensitive or sore mouths that chemo treatment can cause. Peppersmith mints also contain Xylitol and studies have shown that Xylitol can help reduce tooth decay by helping to prevent plaque bacteria sticking to the teeth. Oral complications are common with chemotherapy treatment and so dental hygiene is especially important. Sucking Xylitol mints can also help to relieve a dry mouth that some people experience when going through chemo treatment.
