"When I started chemotherapy I would have been more upset if I lost my "eye hair" as well as the hair on my head. On the recommendation of another cancer patient I tried the Talika products, both the Eyebrow Lipocil and Lipocils for the lashes. I began using them at the start of chemo. I did lose some hairs in the brows and lashes but am happy to say I kept enough to prevent looking like an alien. I am still using them post-chemo and they are filling in nicely now. The Eyebrow Lipocils is a very easy product to use but the Lipocils Expert for lashes is slightly trickier. "Like the Eyebrow Lipocils I was recommended this product by a fellow cancer patient at my hospital who kept her eyehair during chemo. Well I was happy with the result of using this product. My eyebrows were sparse to begin with but using this I hardly lost any more. Keeping my eyehair was important because I lost my head hair. Since being off chemo my lashes look even better than they did before chemo. I will continue to use this product indefinitely. There is a standard Talika Lipocils eyelash growth serum and a Talika Lipocils Expert eyelash growth serum. Confusingly there is only a Talika Liposourcils Expert eyebrow densifying serum as the standard Talika Liposourcils eyebrow growth gel has been discontinued.

All products contain the same Talika Mythical Plant Complex (witch hazel, apple, nettle, horse chestnut, St. John's wort) which stimulates the growth of eyelashes and eyebrows, but the Expert products also contain:

• Coleus forskohlii which stimulates the synthesis of melanin in the eyelash and eyebrow to intensify its natural pigmentation.

• Peptide Expert which has an anti-aging effect. It improves the quality of the eyebrow bulb to strengthen the anchoring of the eyebrow and slow down its sagging and it improves the quality of the ciliary bulb to strengthen the anchoring of the eyelash and slow down its fall.

• Silk proteins which coat the eyebrow and instantly sheath and curl the eyelash.

In short, the Talika Lipocils Expert and Liposourcils Expert contain a pigment enhancer which adds colour to your eyelashes or eyebrows. The Expert products are also more likely to help reduce eyelash or eyebrow loss if you're currently going through chemotherapy. Finally the Expert products have a foam tip which enables more precise application at the root of the lashes whereas the Talika Lipocils eyelash growth serum (non expert) just has a mascara type brush.
